CPC appoints new Board Chairman

Accra, July 7, GNA - The Cocoa Processing Company (CPC), a listed equity on Ghana Stock Exchange (GSE) has appointed Nana Obiri Boahen, a Director of the Company, as Chairman of its Board of Directors with effect from April 26 2006.

He replaced Ms Cecilia Abena Dapaah, a Member of Parliament, who resigned on March 29, 2006.

A statement issued in Accra by GSE on Thursday said the Company had to that effect informed the Exchange.

It said Mr Dramani Egala, the Marketing Manager of Cocoa Marketing Company (Ghana) Limited and a member of the Trustees of the CPC Endowment Fund has also been appointed a Director of CPC with effect from June 28 2006.

Mr Egala succeeds, Mr Hayford Agbemanyale Kwasi Fiamor, who also resigned in March 2006.
