Guinness Ghana Breweries pushes up GSE Index

Accra, May 26, GNA - Key indices of the Ghana Stock Exchange have impressive run on Friday thanks to a sterling price performance by Guinness Ghana Breweries Limited and Aluworks.

The benchmark GSE-All Share Index leapt 29.41 points to close at 4,843.78 points as against 4,814.37 points at the previous close on Wednesday.

Change for the year to date ended strongly at 1.57 per cent. Traded volumes ended the session at 202,700 shares. There were three positive price changes.

Guiness Ghana Brewery Limited gained 450 cedis at 9,900 cedis, Aluworks went up by 90 cedis at 6,690 cedis and Fan Milk Limited was one cedi richer at 15,904 cedis.

Market capitalisation now stands at 92,597.48 billion cedis.
