NDC executives urged to intensify education on Registration exercise

Winneba (C/R), May 10, GNA - The Central Regional Minister, Mr Jacob Arthur has urged constituency executives and various wings of the National Democratic Congress (NDC) in the region to intensify their education on the current voters' registration and revision exercise.

He said government has pumped huge sums of money into the programme and it would all go to waste if the people failed to play their part well to ensure its success.

Mr Arthur was addressing constituency executives and ward leaders of the Awutu Senya Branch of the party at Winneba on Tuesday. The meeting, was called to formulate effective campaign strategies for this year's electioneering campaign It also afforded the Regional Minister the opportunity to educate the participants on the party's constitution.

Mr Arthur called for unity mutual trust and understanding among the rank and file of the party at grassroots level to enable them to win more members for the party.

Mr Kofi Mintah, Central Regional Chairman, urged the participants to continue to explain to the people the good deeds of the party, over the years, in order to win their trust and confidence.

Mr Mintah, appealed to leaders of women's groupings in the party to educate their colleagues, especially those in the rural communities, on government's policies and programmes that aim at improving the welfare women and children.
