The Member of Parliament for the Salaga South Constituency, Hajia Zuwera Mohammed Ibrahimah, has sponsored the installation of streetlights in Abromase, one of the major communities within the Kulaw enclave of her constituency.
According to the MP, the initiative forms part of her broader commitment to enhancing security, safety, and the overall quality of life for residents across Salaga South.
She emphasised in an interview that "adequate street lighting not only helps deter criminal activity but also facilitates safe movement and supports economic activities at night."
Supervising the installation exercise was the Director of Special Projects, Mustapha Nafiu, who ensured that the work was carried out efficiently and to standard.
He assured residents that the MP remains committed to expanding the project to other communities within the Kulaw area and beyond in the coming weeks.
Also present during the installation was the Kulaw Ward Coordinator, Issahaku Nurudeen, who monitored the progress of the work.
He expressed profound gratitude to the MP for her swift response to the community’s long-standing request for improved street lighting.
Nurudeen noted that the intervention would go a long way to enhance security and foster vibrant social and economic activities at night.
