Parliamentary candidate for the Ofuase Ayirebi constituency in the Eastern region, Kojo Oppong Nkrumah has assured residents in the Zongo community of massive development in the area if the NPP wins power.

According to Oppong Nkrumah, contrary to misconceptions about the NPP sacking residents of the Muslim community, major developmental projects will be embarked on to improve the area.

Kojo Oppong Nkrumah indicated that despite the Zongo communities being the stronghold of the NDC, the NPP will stop at nothing till the party’s message of development and positive change is relayed to the people of the area.

“There are a lot of misconceptions and lies, propaganda against us, for example they tell those in the Zongos that when the NPP comes to power we’ll kick them out of the Zongos and that the NPP doesn’t like people of the Islamic region and etc…, he said”

“As we build friendship and relationships with people in the Zongos who are able to help take our message across, the resistance goes down and we’re able to increase our fortunes here.” Mr. Oppong Nkrumah added

The Ofuase Ayirebi Parliamentary Aspirant was on a house-to-house campaign in the constituency to garner votes for the NPP in the December 7 polls.
