Zenith University College last Saturday, 11th June 2016 held its first Congregation ceremony for this year at the school’s premises.
The university has adopted the policy of holding two graduation ceremonies every year.
The ceremony saw a total number of 268 candidates graduating with honours, and this comprised 21 Masters of Business Administration (MBA) candidates and 247 Bachelors of Business Administration (BBA) candidates.
Chairman of the school’s Council, Prof Jophus Anamuah-Mensah, explained the reason behind the college’s new initiative of holding two graduation ceremonies in a year.
“It is indeed without any doubt that this initiative will bring great relief to our students”, he said.
He also added that, “until recently, students who complete their studies had to wait for almost a year before being given their certificates. This is one of the many initiatives the college will be rolling out in the coming years”.
On his part, the rector of the university Stephen Takyi-Asiedu, buttressed the points ealier raised by the chairman of the council.
At the ceremony, Ndukwe Ibe emerged the overall best student for this year’s first batch of graduates.
He was given a laptop and an amount of GHs 1,000.
The next congregation ceremony is scheduled for December, this year.
