Zango Women yell for 'Yababa'

Some Zango women at Tafo/Pankrono constituency in the Ashanti region have staged a strong a support for a young chemist as parliamentary candidate for opposition NDC.

The main street of the constituency was clouded with placards with inscription , Tafoman yearns for your service, Yababa + Mahama for 2020, the project duo for 2020, super incompetent Akoto must go, Yababa the Messiah and Yababa is coming where the message writren on placards as they walked across the principal street of Tafo.


Sahmudeen Mohammed Kamil "Yababa picked his nomination forms to contest the upcoming parliamentary primaries of the opposition National Democratic Congress (NDC) in the Tafo Pankrono Constituency.

He is the son of Sheikh Mohammed Kamil, the Deputy National Chief Imam of Ahlu Sunnah Waljamah.

He Completed UDS, UEW and just completed KNUST with LLB in Law.

The occasion, which could be described as a rally, was characterized by a procession of NDC faithful and sympathizers from the constituency who picked the nomination forms on his behalf through the principal streets of Tafo amidst songs of NDC, lifting of Placards and the receiving cheers from the principal streets.

Addressing the media after picking the forms at the Tafo Office, campaign Co-ordinator for Yababa, Abdul Rahman Mujib insisted Yababa is the right man for the constituency because of what he has done for the party and the constituecy throughout the years.

"We are facing a lot of challenges. Educational and Infrastructure. Look at the party office for instance it's in a terrible state.

"We believe Sahmudeen "Yababa" can help us, we gave a lot of people the chance but they have all failed us. We thought the time for change is now and looking at all the people, Yababa is our sure bet. He has all what it takes to save us from the mess of Akoto. We are happy with how the people have responded to our call, as you can see everyone is happy we finally have someone we can hope for"

Abdul Rahman who is a delegate at the Tafo Pankrono Constituency also charged the Branch Executives to work hard to bring Sahmudeen and Former President John Mahama to redeem Ghanaians from the current hardships.

Sahmudeen Mohammed Kamal Yababa himself spoke to Ghanaweb after his forms was presented to him by his campaign team.

" I'm grateful to the constitutuent of old Tafo. They gathered Money and picked form for me me to come and serve the membership of Tafomen.

"The are crying for development, which we all know is not gonna be an easy task.

" On education, there is something we call Mps common fund. We have never seen it usefulnes since Tafo was made a constituency in 2004. Let ask our Member of parliament what he does with the fund.

"We need lawyers, Doctors, Teachers, and Engineers. We don't see were the fund is passing, and we don't see any development. This is why the people of Tafo, Pankrono and Adabraka are calling for me to come save them. Insha Allah when I come I will not dissapoint them.

"They are dissapointed with how things are going. Apart from the Market Mahama built. There hasn't been any developments in Tafo, that is why they are calling for me. They need someone who has the people of Tafo Pankrono at heart.

"Unlike our MP who is not from Tafo, Pankrono, and Adabraka.

"Nothing to show here, people of Tafo Pankrono are worried and disappointed. We have heard he is doing a project at his town, it should have started from Tafo"

Sahmadeen has served the GREAT NDC party from Constituency, to Branch, to Regional and National.

He's currently the Deputy General Secretary for Tafo-Pankorono Constituency.
