Zain supports Okyehene Educational Endowment Fund

Kyebi(ER), Dec. 8, GNA - The Management of Zain Ghana has presented a cheque for GHC20,000 to the Akyem Abuakwa Traditional Council and University College of Science and Environment (UCSE) at Bunso in the Eastern Region. The Council will receive GHC10,000 of the amount towards development projects while the authorities of UCSE receives GHC10,000 under the Okyehene Educational Endowment Fund (OEEF).

The university was established to train the youth in agriculture and environmental research issues in West Africa. Mr Philip Sowah, Managing Director of Zain Ghana, presenting the cheques at Kyebi in the Eastern Region, said, the company recognized the need to assist educating the youth under its corporate social responsibility.

He congratulated the Okyehene Osagyefo Amoatia Ofori Panin for his 10 years rule on the throne and improvement in the living standards of people in the Akyem Abuakwa Traditional Area Osagyefuo Ofori Panin receiving the cheque thanked the management of Zain Ghana for their kind gesture. He appealed to parents to stop lavish lifestyles and provide the basic needs of their children's education.
