Youth in Tamale vandalise Radio Justice

Some aggrieved youth in the Northern Region besieged the premises of Tamale-based Radio Justice and destroyed properties of the FM station while assaulting some staff.

The incident occurred during a radio discussion on Friday, 1 December, with a youth group called Dagbon Malimi Zung Association concerning a demonstration organised last month in Yendi, to call for an end to the Dagbon chieftaincy crisis.

The individuals involved in the demonstration called for peace between the Abudus and Andanis so as to foster unity and development.

During the course of the discussions with host Baba Hassan, unknown individuals invaded the studios of the station and manhandled the host and discussants on the show.

They also destroyed some studio equipment which led to temporary halt in the stations transmission.
