National Democratic Congress (NDC) Chairman Johnson Asiedu Nketiah has assured branch and constituency executives in the Effutu Constituency that their sacrifices during the 2024 election campaign will be duly rewarded under the current NDC administration.

Speaking during a thank-you tour in the Central Region, Asiedu Nketiah expressed profound gratitude to the executives for their unwavering dedication and resilience in the lead-up to the elections.

He emphasised that their efforts laid a solid foundation for the party’s return to power and promised that the government would work to fulfill its manifesto commitments, including addressing the needs of party supporters.

“Your sacrifices and hard work have not gone unnoticed,” Asiedu Nketiah stated. “Now that the NDC is in power, we will ensure that your efforts are rewarded. We remain committed to delivering on our promises and improving the lives of our people.”

The event, which drew a significant gathering of local party officials, formed part of Asiedu Nketiah’s broader engagement tour aimed at reinforcing unity and mobilising grassroots support.

The Chairman reiterated his faith in the party’s structures and called for continued vigilance, particularly during the upcoming voter registration exercise. He urged executives to closely monitor the electoral registers nationwide to safeguard the integrity of the democratic process.

In a notable endorsement of the government’s development agenda, Nana Ackon Agyenfi VI, Chief of Asubonpinin in Effutu, praised the administration’s initiative to establish a 24-hour market in Winneba. He confirmed that land has been allocated for the project and highlighted its potential to boost local commerce and create employment.

“This market is a testament to the government’s commitment to development,” the chief said. “I urge all party executives to remain alert and proactive, especially as we approach critical internal processes and future elections.”

The gathering underscores the post-2024 election dynamics in Ghana, where the NDC’s return to power has galvanised its base and heightened expectations for tangible deliverables. Similar reassurances have been echoed by Asiedu Nketiah in other regions, including Bono, where he has stressed the importance of party unity and support for government appointees to sustain developmental gains.

As the NDC consolidates its hold on government, the focus remains on translating campaign promises into actionable policies while maintaining robust grassroots engagement to secure long-term political stability and growth.
