Eric Opoku, the Minister of Food and Agriculture, has issued a stern warning to his Ministry's staff to avoid engaging in partisan politics that could undermine the government's initiatives in the agricultural sector.

Speaking to employees from various directorates during his ongoing tour of ministries and agencies on Monday, January 27, 2025, the Minister underscored the need for a united commitment to national development, regardless of political affiliations.

“The politics is over. You may belong to any other party, but at the end of the day, we are talking about Ghana and how to govern the country. Let’s all hang up our political jackets, mobilize all that we have, and ensure we succeed because this is the only country we have," he stated.

He cautioned against acts of sabotage, remarking: “If you’re still in the political mood and think everything is about politics, then you become an obstacle. An obstacle must be cleared to allow the free flow of development. So, I urge everybody here whether NDC or NPP the elections are over. We should now focus on how we can contribute to the development of our country."

Eric Opoku, an experienced politician and Member of Parliament for the Asunafo South Constituency, has served for several years as the Minority's spokesperson on Agriculture.
