The New Patriotic Party (NPP) constituency chairman for Asante Akim in the Ashanti Region, Sampson Agyei went ballistic descending heavily on a radio host of Kumasi-based Fox FM, Oheneba Nana Asiedu over what is yet to be uncovered.

The chairman who was called to speak to allegations of some names removed from the party’s constituency delegates’ list leveled against him on live radio, rather went after host of the programme he described as a fool.

Despite the opportunity given to the chairman to respond to the allegations, Sampson Agyei on top of his voice flared and yelled at the host “You’re a big fool” to the shock of listeners.

The constituency chairman went ahead to accused some faceless journalists in the region of fuelling the political tension in the constituency.

“You guys have an agenda to set fire in every issue happening in the constituency. …I am telling people like you and your colleagues your ill-intents will not see the light of the day”, Sampson Agyei fumed.

“I know why you are doing all these. You have an agenda against me that is why you always want to discuss me”, the NPP leader accused management of the station.

In a related development, some aggrieved delegates in Subin numbering two hundred and forty (240) are in arms with the party’s leadership alleging some national officers in connivance with constituency executives have clandestinely expunged their names from the constituency delegates’ list

Spokesperson for the affected delegates, Mr. Osei Assibey alleged their Member of Parliament (MP), Hon. Eugene Boakye Antwi led by the constituency secretary, Mr. Akuamoah Boateng are behind the removal of those name

Meanwhile, the party’s leadership in the region has appealed for calm as Regional Secretary, Sam Pyne promised to take up the concerns of persons whose names have been expunged from the party’s electoral register.

“We will not leave your concerns here……we will investigate every single allegation raised”, the Regional Secretary, Sam Pyne earlier assured when he spoke to the issue on Nhyira FM.
