Sellers of Yoghurt, a favorite of many in the Takoradi metropolis in the Western region are on a sit down strike as they protest against introduction of some slight price increase by Manufacturer, Fan Milk Ghana Limited.

The youghurt sellers who are mostly seen riding bicycles to sell their products were spotted by Empire News in town chasing away and preventing anyone seen to be selling yoghurt on the streets Monday .

Some were manhandled and threatened that their yoghurts would be given out for free if they defy the industrial action as they claim they have all decided to embark on a sit down strike till Friday October , 5, 2018.

A yoghurt seller , Simeon Akubillah expressed their frustrations to Empire News’ Emmanuel Ohene -Gyan about how they lose one pesewa per every yoghurt sold due to a price increase by the manufacturer which is increasingly affecting their trade.

It’s likely yoghurt sales may slump as the hawkers boycott street sales within the enclave.
