Ya-Na Murder Suspect Back in Court

Iddrisu Jahinfo, the man suspected of murdering the Ya-Na Yakubu Andani, made his second appearance before the Tamale Community Tribunal last Friday. He has been charged with conspiracy to murder and murder.

His plea was not taken and was remanded in custody to re-appear on Wednesday August 28, following a submission by the prosecutor, Mr Agbeko Kraa, that there was a new development, which needs to be clarified.

Mr Kraa did not elaborate but a police source told the Ghana News Agency that the Wuaku Commission had written to the police to suspend prosecution because it acted ultra vires by asking that Jahinfo to be prosecuted.
