Edna Agnes Boakye makes history among student leaders across the country as she uses her prowess to honour lecturers and students who in one way or the other inspires lives on campus, doing this through a night she set aside to honour Oheneyere Gifty Anti.

She said that the awards seek to recognise and celebrate female students doing amazing things in their own small ways, thus the theme 'celebrating the greatness in small beginnings'.

The women's commissioner in a speech she delivered mentioned that ‘’I have always wanted to do this, I believe awarding these women will go a long way to encourage them that whatever they are doing in their closet does not go unnoticed.’’

She congratulated all nominees and awardees and stressed that each one of them is a winner for being nominated for the various categories because it is a sign that their good works have been recognised by their peers.

The night was filled with spoken word pieces, fine arts and a fashion show by 2019 face of GIJ delegates.

In all there were 10 awardees at the end of the day taking home crystal plaques.

Making everything a glamour for the night, Oheneyere Gifty Anti, an alumnus of the Ghana Institute of Journalism was honored for her contributions towards women empowerment and her inspirational personality.
