Woman aged 73 years beheaded at Nsakatia

A woman aged 73 years, has been beheaded and her lifeless body was found on Thursday afternoon by the residents of Nsakatia, near Sampa in the Jaman North District of Brong-Ahafo Region.

The Police, when contacted by the Ghana News Agency (GNA) on Friday in Sunyani confirmed the incident and stated that no arrest had yet been made, but Police investigation was still ongoing.

Police Superintendent Nana Kwaku Duah, the Brong-Ahafo Regional Crime Officer, said on Thursday July 13, 2017 at about 14:30 hours, the Police in Sampa were informed of the murder of the deceased, named Ama Kyeremaah who was returning from her farm, 500 metres away from the scene of the incident.

Police Superintendent Duah said the Police proceeded to the place and found the lifeless body of the woman lying beside her basket containing some fresh pepper, pineapple sucks, lime stone and a cutlass.

The woman who was lying in a pool of blood was wearing a straight dress and a black pair of slippers, he said, and added that the body had been deposited at the Sampa Government Hospital mortuary for autopsy.
