Winful Cobinna elated with victory over Young Wise in FA Cup

Accra Hearts of Oak midfielder Winful Cobinna says he is excited as the club progressed to the next stage the MTN FA Cup following a 1-0 victory over Accra Young Wise on Sunday.

The Premier League giants beat the lower tier side at the Zaytuna Park after a very nervy encounter. Cobinna who was a part of the team that reach the final last season was happy with the result.

"We used our experience to beat them and I can say we are happy to qualify to the next stage of the competition," he told reporters after the game.

The Phobians have struggled this season in the Ghana Premier League but Cobinna, who captained the club against WAFA last Wednesday is confident things will get back to the best.

According to the talismanic midfielder the win over Young Wise will serve as a springboard as they look ahead in the Ghana Premier League.

"This season has been full of ups and downs for us and so we were motivated enough for the game and this win could serve as a morale booster ahead of the game against Inter Allies on Thursday so little by little we will pick up," he said.

Accra Hearts of Oak will next face Inter Allies in the Ghana Premier League on Thursday at the Tema Sports Stadium.
