William Ofori-Atta Heritage Holds National Peace Forum

The William Ofori Atta Heritage in collaboration with the Christian Council of Ghana, Office of the National Chief Imam and Multimedia Ghana will on Tuesday, August 20, 2013, organise a National Peace Forum on the theme: “Sustaining Ghana’s Democracy - One Nation, One People, and One Destiny.”

The event will be held at the Ballroom of the Movenpick Hotel at 5pm.

The National Peace Forum will include panel discussions by distinguished personalities such as Prof. John Nabilla (National House of Chiefs), Mr. PV Obeng (Special Advisor to the President), Mr. Kojo Asamoah (Trade Union Congress), Prof. Irene Odotei (National Peace Council), Apostle Dr. Opoku Onyinah (Church of Pentecost) and other respected opinion leaders in the country who will discuss various aspects of Peace, Unity and the sustenance of our democracy.

According to organisers of the event, the extraordinary events that have unfolded in the Supreme Court in recent weeks concerning the 2012 Presidential election have captured the attention of the nation, and therefore necessitated the holding of this event.

Thus, “with the country only a few weeks away from the verdict, it is critical that venerable members of the public speak up unequivocally about Peace and Unity as we await the Supreme Court’s decision.”

Attending the National Peace Forum is strictly by invitation.
