The De Mayor Foundation, founded by David Selasie Anthony and its management team
has feted over 700 widows and the less-privileged at Adeiso in the Upper West Akim district of the Eastern region.

The foundation provided the widows with 5kg bags of rice each, 500 chicken, 1000 pieces of branded exercise books, assorted drinks, cooking oil, and other food items as part of activities to mark the Christmas and New Year celebrations.

In addition to the donations, a health screening was conducted by a team of nurses and doctors from UGMC, offering crucial medical support to the beneficiaries to ensure their well-being.

The beneficiaries include widows, other vulnerable members of the community and school children, providing them with essential items.

Founder of the Foundation, David Selasie Anthony said he wishes to extend this initiative to other regions in the coming days and expressed his heartfelt gratitude to the Adeiso community for their support and for giving the Foundation the opportunity to serve them.

He said he is committed to seeing to the welfare of the vulnerable, including widows and children.

“It is always easy to feel forgotten when you have nobody to care for your needs but I want to assure you, who are gathered here that we are concerned about your welfare and the children.

"Let’s all help the less privileged in wherever we find ourselves. Government cannot do it all, everybody must come on board so Ghana will be a better place for us all," he appealed.

Through these initiatives, the De Mayor Foundation continues to demonstrate its commitment to improving the health and welfare of communities across the country.
