The Sunyani Technical University has dismissed three students for engaging in examination malpractice during the second semester resit examinations for the 2024/2025 academic year.
In a statement released by the Office of the Registrar on April 10, 2026, it said the decision forms part of the university’s efforts to uphold academic integrity and maintain the credibility of its assessment processes.

"Management of Sunyani Technical University, hereby announces the dismissal of the underlisted students for engaging in acts of examination malpractice during the second semester resit examinations of the 2024/2025 academic year", it said.
According to the university, one of the dismissed students, a male, "arranged for another person to write examination on his behalf", while the two others, one male and another female were dismissed for the “possession and use of unauthorised material” during the examinations.
The university further urged all student to adhere to the principles of honesty and integrity in their academic work.
"The university reiterates that examination malpractice in any form will not be tolerated. Severe sanctions will be applied to offenders", it added.
