Why I walked out of GTV studios – Adongo explains

Member of Parliament for Bolga Central, Isaac Adongo says he walked out during a live programme on GTV because he realised the host was doing the bidding of the ruling New Patriotic Party (NPP).

Mr. Isaac Adongo has been criticised for walking out of the studios of GTV during the live telecast of current affairs programme Talking Point.

Supporters of both the opposition National Democratic Congress (NDC) and the NPP have waded into the matter with the latter criticising the Bolga MP for his “inappropriate” actions.

Speaking to Gold News, the Member of Parliament for Bolga Central, Isaac Adongo, said he was not treated fairly on the programme hence his decision to leave the studio.

"I think I was not happy with the host of the show because Kwaku Kwarteng who was representing the NPP, spoke for 15 minutes, but the moment I started speaking, Mr. Kwaku Kwarteng interjected and the host allowed him. Just less than 4 minutes into my time, to my surprise, I was told by the host my time was up and I felt the disproportionate bias was too much so I had to leave,” he explained.

Mr. Adongo said he was poised to revealing some misinformation channelled out by President Akufo-Addo in his maiden state of the nation address but he was denied by the host of the programme and Kwaku Kwarteng, MP for Obuasi West Constituency in the Ashanti Region.

The MP for Bolga Central also said he would only appear on GTV’s Talking Point if the host would be fair and balanced.
