What's with the NPP and new currencies? - Social media users ask

The new cedi notes The new cedi notes

From getting change after buying in town or at the market to losing a single note or paying your fare in the ‘trotro’; the debate surrounding Bank of Ghana’s new GHC 2 coin, 100 0r 200 notes is just becoming interesting.

Unending questions and concerns are emerging following news of the new notes to be introduced into the system soon.

While the central bank has confirmed the news, noting that it’s part of efforts to ensure the banknotes are well aligned with economic activity and the weaknesses and challenges associated with the management of notes and coins in circulation are addressed, Ghanaians have their own interpretation to the impact these new notes will have on the economy and citizens at large.

They haven’t failed to share their thoughts on some social media platforms including twitter.

One tweep for example sought to ask the correlation between the ruling government and the change in currencies. His argument was this,

"Kufuor brought the new currency, Nana has brought a different 5gh, a whole new rendition of all the notes making 3 different 5gh notes in the system and now 100gh and 200gh notes,, what's with the currency and NPP??"

www.ghanaweb compiles some of these reactions.
