President Akufo-Addo will today, Tuesday, February 21, 2017 deliver his first State of the Nation Address to parliament.

This is in fulfilment of Article 67 of the 1992 Constitution that stipulates that: “The President shall, at the beginning of each session of parliament and before the dissolution of parliament, deliver to parliament a message on the state of the nation.”

The President in his campaign message during the 2016 elections made several promises to Ghanaians on how he will tackle the ailing economy by providing one factory in every district, jobs for the youth, one village one dam and the free SHS policy which will be starting this September.

The minority in parliament are anticipating knowing how the President will address the issue of funding free SHS programme without using the heritage fund and how the other projects he said in his campaign message will be rolled out.

Ahead of Akufo-Addo’s first State of the Nation Address, some Ghanaians have given their views on what they expect the President to say today.
