What Farouk Aliu Mahama had to say about his ‘godfather’ Gabby on his birthday

Alhaji Farouk Aliu Mahama, son of Late Former Vice President of the Republic of Ghana Alhaji Aliu Mahama has singled out for praise Gabby Asare Otchere Darko, founder of the Danquah Institute for his role in shaping his political life.

Though Alhaji Farouk Aliu Mahama comes from a politically prominent family in the north of the country, the Parliamentary Aspirant of the New Patriotic Party(NPP) for the Yendi constituency has disclosed that a synergy with the former Danquah Institute boss has significantly transformed his life politically.


In a birthday felicitation to Gabby Asare Otchere Darko, he wrote “I have been proud to be under your strong and valuable mentorship, encouragement, guidance and support through out the period I have known you, and this is the best day to acknowledge that your perseverance in seeing my transformation has made you a LEGEND to me. I want pay you this glowing tribute while you are alive and kicking.”


His eulogy further stated that “There have been many situations, some harder than others but an admirable thing about your character is that, problems do not affect your strength and you have an optimistic attitude. You are a generous boss, friend, leader and even more than a brother.”

Alhaji Farouk Aliu Mahama is in the race to represent and enter parliament on the ticket of the New Patriotic Party for the Yendi constituency.
