The Wenchi Constituency ambulance, under the One Constituency One Ambulance initiative by the Ministry of Special Development Initiatives, has been grounded following a road crash in Kumasi on Wednesday afternoon.

The vehicle from Wenchi in the Bono region went to fix a medical equipment at Kumasi when a Kia Picanto salon car with registration number GT 2861-19 ran into the driver’s door.

Images of the ambulance show an inward dent on the driver's door while that of the salon car shows a mangled bonnet from the impact of the accident.

This is the first vehicle among the pool of 307 ambulances distributed across the country to be involved in a major accident.
