Accra, June 3, GNA - The Meteorological Service Department on Thursday announced that the weather would be generally cloudy and humid with periodic breaks of sunshine and warm temperature during the day. Consequently, the prevailing instability over the West African Sub-Region will also cause an outbreak of thunderstorm activities or rain showers over the Northern and middle sectors late in the afternoon and The Department said the evening would remain mostly dull over the coastal areas with occasional slight rains in places during the forecast periods.

The night would, therefore, be quite cool and comfortable with misty conditions over sheltered areas of southern Ghana in the morning. Maximum and minimum temperatures during the forecast period were given as: coastal areas, between 30 and 23 degrees Celsius; forest and mountainous areas, between 31 and 22 degrees Celsius and Northern Ghana, between 32 and 23 degrees Celsius.
