Northern sector to remain dry and hot - Meteo

The Meteorological Services Department said on Friday cloud conditions over the entire country would be sustained following a significant improvement in the moisture inflow over the entire West African sub-region.

There are also chances of few thundery-showers over the coastal belt, the high grounds and forest regions of Eastern, Ashanti, the Volta and the inland areas of Central and Western regions in the morning becoming bright and sunny in the afternoon.

Misty and Foggy atmosphere with a significant reduction in visibility is expected over the sheltered areas in the morning while the Northern sector would remain dry and hot during the period. The day maximum could rise as high as 39 degrees Celsius over Northern sector with bright, sunny and hazy skies.

Maximum and minimum temperatures between 0600 hours on Friday and 0600 on Saturday were given as: coastal areas, between 26 and 32 degrees Celsius, forest and mountainous areas, between 22 and 33 degrees Celsius and Northern Ghana, between 24 and 39 degrees Celsius.
