President John Dramani Mahama has called on Ghanaians to uphold integrity and reject wealth obtained through dishonest means as the nation works toward resetting its core values.
He said rebuilding the country will require a shift in attitudes and expectations from both leaders and ordinary citizens.

Speaking at the 69th Independence Day celebration, he noted that restoring integrity and accountability must remain at the heart of Ghana’s development agenda.
“Resetting Ghana is about resetting values, resetting expectations, and resetting the very relationship between leaders and the led,” he said.
President Mahama also touched on the importance of instilling strong moral principles in the younger generation to safeguard the country’s future.

“We must teach our children that integrity is non-negotiable; that wealth acquired through dubious means is a curse, not a blessing; and that true success is measured not by what we accumulate, but by what we contribute to national progress,” he said.
