The former ambassador to the United Kingdom UK, under the erstwhile John Dramani Mahama’s administration, H.E. Victor Smith has confidently stated, without mincing words that going into the 2020 elections, the opposition National Democratic Congress, NDC, will not succumb to any intimidation or attempts by the NPP to cheat the election adding that they would fight boot for boot, fire for fire if the NPP dares intimidates them.

According to the respected and vociferous NDC stalwart, they secured about 4 million votes out of the total 10 million vote casts and these people are there to support them so they need just a little push to win 2020 election. Again he said, going forward, the party is ready to resist any intimidation from the Akufo-Addo led NPP government ahead of the 2020 polls.

He made these revelations to the host of the Susubiribi morning show, Nana Kwabena Addo Papabi on Radio 1FM 100.7MHZ on Tuesday, June 11 2019.

“Not less than 4 million votes for NDC. We won’t sit and watch them cheat. We’ll fight them boot for boot, fire for fire If they bring it on, we will give it back,” H.E. Victor Smith said.

Moreover, the former ambassador noted that though they are in for power, they would not use any foul means to achieve that fate but if NPP attempts to cheat them in the 2020 election, they won’t sit aloof and condone such attempts.

He further disclosed and reaffirmed that he will neither contest for the Abuakwa North parliamentary seat nor lobby for the running mate slot for his party.
