The opposition New Patriotic Party (NPP) has hinted that it will not head to the courts over plans by any individual to defame the party and it’s Flagbearer Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo Addo.

The party believes it will be a total waste of time and resources to contest any such case, saying it remains credible in the country’s political dispensation.

This revelation by the NPP follows matters arising out of their boycott on Accra-based Neat and Okay FM belonging to Despite Group of Companies.

Speaking on Ultimate breakfast show hosted by Julius Caesar Anadem, Deputy Communications Director of NPP, Anthony Abayifa-Karbo explained that they will not use a sledge hammer to hit an ant.

‘I don’t think we will use a sledge hammer to hit an ant, am not sure, the elephant is too big a party to waste legal resources to go to court because of a man like Adakabre, we will not do that we will advise ourselves appropriately going forward on how we see political programmes on the show, and urge all our members and business associates to desist from patronising their political shows, because it’s of no benefits where its only one sided programme, where it’s only members of the ruling party…, knowing Despite’s vision and investments I don’t think he set up the stations to malign us,’ he said.

Abayifa Karbo further dispelled allegations that the NPP is a violent political party as perceived by some Ghanaian populace.

He further notes that they will continue to instil discipline in their members across the country.

The former worker of Multimedia Group has allegedly accused Nana Addo of threatening him, a claim a former colleague Afia Pokuaa has discounted.
