We will beat Liverpool - Dede

In-form Swansea winger, Andre Ayew maintains that the South Wales Club can shock free-scoring Liverpool next weekend despite their poor form.

Swansea has just won one of their last 10 EPL games but the deputy Ghana Black Stars skipper who has been their best player so far this season scoring six goals in 13 games is confident that they can beat Liverpool in Anfield.

“They have a big squad and they are one of the biggest teams in the league,” Ayew told South Wales Evening Post

“But we’re going there to try to get something. We will go there with a lot of confidence and a lot of beliefs.

“There were rumours about me going there, but what’s important is that I’m at Swansea and I’m happy here.”

Ayew scored one and set up a penalty for his side on Saturday as they came from behind to draw 2-2 with Bournemouth at the Liberty Stadium and he stated that he was impressed with the fighting spirit they showed.

“We’re quite happy with the desire and character we’ve shown, but we’re also a little bit disappointed because we wanted three points against Bournemouth,” he added.

“I hope that this will give us more confidence for the next game at Anfield.

“The manager has shown us a lot of support, a lot of confidence, and we’re trying to give it back to him on the pitch.

“He’s a great manager, we know what he did last season. Everything’s going to get back into shape.

“Sometimes in football things are a bit difficult, but I believe we have great players, a great manager and a great squad so everything will be okay. We just need to keep working hard and not give up.

“I don’t really follow outside stuff, but when you’re at a club like Swansea that wants to grow everybody feels pressure, that’s normal.

“We just need to stay focused on the field. We cannot listen to what’s going on outside. We have to concentrate on what’s happening on the pitch and listen to the coach.”
