Wife of Vice Presidential Candidate of the New Patriotic Party, Samira Bawumia says the party took things for granted during the 2012 general elections.

“We believe we won that election and due to our lapses we lost the mantle”, she remarked. However, she pledged they have taken note of the occurrences and are prepared to safeguard it this time round.

Samira Bawumia also said the NPP are prepared to get bruised in the current politics of insult to ensure the good people of Ghana repose their confidence in Nana Addo for the advancement of the country.

Even though the political system has poisoned to some extent, the elephant family is resolute and would not succumb to any persons or group of persons who deliberately want to distract their campaign activities.

Speaking to Kojo Yankson on Joy FM’s Super Morning Wednesday , Samira Bawumia disclosed that it was out of love, commitment and dedication that guided her lovely husband to come from overseas and accept a job which paid lesser in Ghana.

Moving on, she said , “it is not about becoming second lady, my focus is about serving the people; not what I would gain”.

She claims there are a lot of leakages in our fabrics of life – the chunk of money we get cannot be accounted for by the NDC government.
