We think the same way, but do it differently – Hassan Ayariga

The 2012 presidential candidate for the People's National Convention (PNC), Hassan Ayariga, says all the political parties in Ghana have similar agenda for the nation, just that they all lack the ‘know how’ to implement what they proffer.

For him, politicians and political parties only get stuck in their bid to turn the fortunes of Ghana because they are all bereft of the wisdom and the will power to carry their strategies through to the end.

“If you read the manifestos of all the political parties, it seems to have similar visions, objectives and strategies…but the difference is just how to implement it and when given the mandate how you will be able to implement those policies you promised Ghanaians. The implementation is the problem,” he stated.

Speaking to an Accra-Based radio station, he, however, alluded that all the political parties including the PNC have an equal clout to compete each other for political power, but the readiness of a particular party to execute its promises is what Ghanaians are looking for.

“...who is ready to implement what he has promised? That is why we say if you have promised Ghanaians and you cannot perform then step down, so somebody else will go up,” he added.

He noted that the development and progress of the country’s economy has been the central point of their conversation whenever he met the other presidential candidates of the eight political parties including the ruling NDC.
