Some assembly members in the Obuasi West Municipal Assembly of Ashanti are demanding accountability of some projects the Municipal Chief Executive, Mr. Elijah Adansi Bonnah has undertaken.

The assembly members led by Mr. Stephen Osei of Kunka Electoral area said, he has personally written numerous petition letters to the municipal Coordinating Director of the Obuasi West Municipal Assembly, and others to probe into some inflated contract but none of them has responded to petition.

The assembly members want to know what went into the higher cost of the projects undertaken by the assembly.

Below are some of the projects the assembly members want the MCE to explain why they are being inflated...

1. The members will like to know much about Renovation of Presbyterian Primary School at New Nsuta at the cost of one hundred and eighty-one thousand, and forty-nine Ghana cedis (GHC181,849.00).

2. Construction of a 3-Unit K.G classroom block as Sanso at the cost of three hundred and twenty thousand, three hundred and nine two Ghana cedis (GHC320,392.00)

3. The members will like MCE to explain to them on Reshaping of Amamiriwa -Abaamu road at the cost of seventy-one thousand, three hundred and twelve cedis, forty pesewas (GHC71,312.40)

4. Fence Wall around the Municipal Chief Executive's residence at the cost of one hundred and thirty-one thousand, nine hundred and fifty-nine Ghana cedis,(GHC131,959.00.)

5. Reshaping of the Binsere -Ntonsua road at the cost of eighty-four thousand, three hundred and fifty-two cedis, forty pesewas (GHC84,352.40)
