We'll not be sympathetic if you refuse to record fuel money - Apaak tells Chieftaincy Ministry

The Director for Ministry of Chieftaincy and Religious Affairs, Benjamin Afful has indicated that his outfit has put in place apt measures to ensure that all trips by officials are documented in the log book.

According to him, the Ministry has appointed an Assistant Director in charge of Transport and Estate to ensure that all log in are verified after documentation.

Mr. Afful’s response comes after Member of Parliament for Builsa South constituency, Dr. Clement Apaak questioned the Minister on measures his ministry has put in place to ensure that expenditure on official trips are recorded by the office.

Responding to Dr. Clement Apaak, the Minister explained that new proficient measures have been put in place to ensure all official trips are monitored.

“All the vehicles have log books and we have an Assistant Director who is responsible for Transport and Estate who verifies the entries,” he said.

The Member of Parliament added that the committee will not be sympathetic if the Ministry falls to record fuel money of the Ministry.



The Ministry of Chieftaincy and Religious Affairs appeared before the Public Account Committee of parliament for questioning on report of the Auditor-General on the Public Accounts of Ghana ministries, Department and other agencies for the year 2016.
