We have to focus on Argentina, says Tetteh

Ghana U-20 midfielder Samuel Tetteh says focus should be on their second group match against Argentina after the Ghanaians managed to snatch one point against Austria in their Fifa U-20 World Cup opener in New Zealand on Saturday.

The Black Satellites are now in desperate need of a win in their second group game against tournament favourites Argentina.

Locals had slammed the performance of the 2009 champions against Austria, however, Tetteh believes his side will claim a positive result on Tuesday.

“We have to put this behind us and go all out and get a good result against Argentina,” Tetteh told Joy FM.

“They have been tagged as favourites in this group but we believe in ourselves and we know we can beat them.”

Medical officer of the team Prince Pambo wants Ghanaians to stand by the Satellites as they seek to win the U-20 World Cup trophy for a second time.

“Everything is set with the team. Fitness and physical level is very impressive,” he said.

“The team is ready for the second game against Argentina and we promise Ghanaians we will do well.

“All we need is the support of Ghanaians, the media and everybody, and at the end of the day mother Ghana will be made proud.”

In the other Group game, Panama will take on Austria also on Tuesday.
