‘We have no confidence in you’ - Kumawu chiefs to MP

The Paramount Chief of Kumawu Traditional Council Barima Sarfo Tweneboah Koduah and his divisions have expressed worry over the failure of the Member of Parliament for Kumawu constituency Philip Atta Basoah for failing to develop his constituency.

According to them, The MP has failed to complete several projects which include hospital in his constituency, therefore, describing him as “incompetent” to contest for the next parliamentary primaries.

Speaking at a council meeting usually held to discuss developmental progress of the constituency, some chief said they have lost confidence in the MP for to support his constituency.

He said “You don’t have connection in government, parliament and even outside the country to bring positive change to Kumawu, we want an MP who has contact to develop this constituency for us”

“We have no confidence in you because of your nonperformance” Kumawu Traditional Council tells MP. The MP has also been accused for failing to communicate with the chief has to why he is yet to reconstruct the abandoned Kumawu district hospital after he promised.

“The MPs effort to thwart the Kumawu town roads, Bodomase town roads, Oyokor town roads and roads developmental projects were also the cause for the chiefs to give hon Basoah those blows at the council meeting” sources at Palace said.

However, Philip Atta Basoah wasn’t allowed to speak during the meeting.
