We are ready for Tunisia – Baba Rahman

Black Stars defender Baba Rahman has said the team is ready to play any team in the ongoing Africa Cup of Nations (AFCON) in Egypt following the Stars’ qualification to the Round of 16 stage.

The Stars were unable to win in their first two games against benin and Cameroon, and only just edged out Guinea-Bissau who hit the post and crossbar on three different occasions.

Up next for the team is the Carthage Eagles and the defender is relishing the opportunity to play in that game and ensuring qualification to the quarter final stage.

“I am not really bothered about who we get to play now that we have qualified. If you get to this type of tournament, you have to be prepared to play anybody. You have to play every game like a final because you never know who you are going meet next.

“All the teams who made it to the AFCON are very good tactically and mentally so we just have to be ready to play anyone. Remember that we can only win the competition if we beat the teams we face. It is not in our hands to decide who we get to play but I can assure you that we are prepared to play anybody, he told ClassSports Kwame Dwomoh-Agyemang who is in Egypt covering the tournament, after the game in Suez on Tuesday July 2,2019.

Rahman has just made a return to the Stars set up after enduring a career threatening injury in the 2017 edition which saw him sit out of the team for almost two years.
