Head coach of Asante Kotoko Kjetil Zachariassen has stated they are monitoring the progress of Kano Pillars ahead of their CAF Champions League encounter.

The Porcupines will travel to Nigeria on August 10 to face the Aiteo Cup winners before hosting them a week later in Kumasi.

Speaking to Footballmadeinghana.com on his team preparations, the former Ashantigold gaffer revealed they are monitoring their Nigerian counterpart as much as they can ahead of the game.

“We are monitoring them as much as we can, they played the Nigerian FA cup final.

“Kano Pillars are strong inoffensive but possibly we will be on top of our game because we have been preparing for the past three weeks”

“All our players are ready and good enough to play that’s why we changed the entire team before the end of the game against Rahimo”

Zachariassen also insisted he has faith in all his twenty-eight players and will be counting on all of them in the Competition.

“I have first twenty-eight but not eleven. Some players didn’t train because of slight injuries”

“We have our plans and always train on everything we need and knows will benefit our players,” he added.
