The footage showed scores of enthusiastic young cyclists joining the ride, turning the procession into a vibrant show of solidarity and commitment to safeguarding the well-being of Ghana’s youth.

The initiative sought to amplify the message of prevention, empowerment, and community responsibility in addressing drug abuse, a growing concern among young people across the country.
Meanwhile, the Minister of Youth Development and Employment, George Opare Addo, has announced a comprehensive national strategy aimed at reversing the rising trend of substance abuse, particularly in secondary and tertiary institutions.
The new framework prioritises strong awareness campaigns, including the recently launched “Ghana Against Drugs – Red Means Stop” initiative.
The strategy also includes the construction of regional rehabilitation centres to ensure accessible treatment and mental health support for young people.

Additionally, plans are underway to expand drug-awareness programmes and strengthen community-based interventions to offer early support and sustained guidance.
