Hundreds of young men and women took to the streets of the nation’s capital, Accra, to express their displeasure about the delays in receiving their appointment letters to commence work in the Ghana Armed Forces.

The young men and women claim they were enlisted into the Ghana Armed Forces and have been on standby for appointment letters since 2021.

The youth, who travelled from the Northern, Oti, and other regions, gathered close to the seat of government, the Jubilee House, before taking to the streets.

They said that they are being given “unfair treatment” by the government because it has been more than four years since their enlistments.

They demand that the government finalises their appointments so they can start working as full personnel of the Ghana Armed Forces.

Also, all the protesters, who were captured in a video shared by TV3, were clothed in white shirts and black trousers, which is typical of one of the training gears for trainee soldiers.
