Suzy Pinamang, a student at Adventist Senior High School, and her family held a heartfelt thanksgiving service at their local church over the weekend to express profound gratitude for the restoration of her sight.

In a video posted on X on July 13, 2025, the family used the occasion to honour businessman Ibrahim Mahama and his personal aide, Rafik Mahama, whose overwhelming support and dedication made Suzy’s recovery possible.

With emotions running high, prayers were offered for “unlimited blessings” upon the two men, acknowledging the life-changing impact of their intervention.

Suzy, who had been battling a serious eye condition, regained her vision following critical medical assistance made possible through the generous backing of Ibrahim Mahama and his team.

“We thank God for using them as vessels, Suzy’s mother said during the service. They didn’t just give us help they gave us hope and light when all seemed dark”, they said.
The thanksgiving drew community members, school officials, and church elders, all joining in celebration of Suzy’s remarkable recovery.

Suzzy Adwoa Pinamang, the form two student of Adventist Senior High School was accidentally shot in the eye earlier this year.

She was flown to the United Kingdom on May 10, 2025, through the sponsorship of Ibrahim Mahama and with the assistance of Ghana’s Ministry of Foreign Affairs.

Her case captured public attention earlier this year after she sustained serious eye injuries from an accidental shooting, sparking calls for urgent medical intervention.

Her successful surgery has been widely celebrated as a symbol of what collaborative effort and goodwill can achieve.
