Asokwa Municipal Chief Executive Amoh Kamel has led a vigorous clean-up exercise ahead of the much-anticipated visit of Eswatini’s King Mswati III to the Manhyia Palace in Kumasi.

In a video that has since gone viral on social media, the MCE is seen joining a group to sweep streets, remove garbage, and clear overgrown weeds in parts of Asokwa.

King Mswati III is expected in Ghana from Tuesday, June 24 to Saturday, June 28, 2025.

He will first arrive in Accra for official engagements, including bilateral talks with President John Dramani Mahama at the Jubilee House.

A Memorandum of Understanding is expected to be signed between the two nations to strengthen cooperation.

Later that Tuesday, the King will meet officials at the AfCFTA Secretariat before making his way to the Ashanti Regional Capital.

In Kumasi, King Mswati III will pay a royal visit to the Asantehene, Otumfuo Osei Tutu II, at the Manhyia Palace.
