The family of the late industrialist and founder of the Kristo Asafo Mission, Apostle Kwadwo Safo, has officially informed Asantehene Otumfuo Osei Tutu II about his demise.
The delegation was received at the Manhyia Palace on Thursday, 25 September 2025.
Nana Osei Fosu Adutwum, the Chief of Kwaso, who led the delegation, told Opemsuo Radio after the meeting with Otumfuo:
“We came here this afternoon to inform our lord about my uncle, Apostle Dr. Kwadwo Safo. Recently, he was not feeling well, and while we fought hard, life cannot seize what death has held onto.
"He (Apostle Kwadwo Safo) has slept on his left side. He was a royal of the Asantehene and held him in high esteem, so it was necessary for us to inform him about his passing.”

He added that the Asantehene instructed the family to uphold dignity in handling the aftermath of Kantanka’s death.
“He said he (Kwadwo Safo) was his direct kin who lived an enviable life, and for that reason, he does not want to hear of any unfortunate issues following his demise. Everything should be done with reverence for tradition,” he stated.
