A horse stunned mourners at the funeral of the late Asantehemaa, Nana Konadu Yiadom III, when it rhythmically performed the traditional Adowa dance.
In a video shared on X on Tuesday, September 16, 2025, the horse was seen moving gracefully in tune with the cultural rhythms during the solemn rites.
The body of the late queen mother was laid in state on Monday, September 15, 2025, at the Manhyia Palace in Kumasi, drawing thousands of mourners.
The palace grounds were filled with traditional leaders, royals, dignitaries, and citizens who gathered to pay their last respects.

The four-day funeral rites are being marked with solemn traditional rituals and rich cultural displays, befitting the stature of the Asantehemaa, who was revered for her dedication to the Ashanti Kingdom and her role in preserving its heritage.
Security was tight as long queues of mourners, clad in black and red, filed past the queen mother’s remains to honour her memory.
