The West African Examinations Council (WAEC) has released the provisional results for candidates who sat for the 2025 Basic Education Certificate Examination (BECE) for Private Candidates.
A statement issued by the council disclosed that the results are now available on its official website, www.waecgh.org and can be accessed online by candidates.
A total of 1,661 candidates sat for the private examination, comprising 858 males and 803 females.
The exam was conducted at 15 centres across the country; however, 33 candidates were recorded as absent.
According to WAEC, the results of three candidates have been withheld due to suspected involvement in examination irregularities. The council noted that investigations are currently underway.
Candidates affected by withheld or canceled results are advised to visit https://litreg.waecgh.org and click on the “Withheld/Canceled” button on the homepage.
This will direct them to a dedicated irregularity and investigations page, which provides detailed information on the status of their results and the next steps to take.
Meanwhile, WAEC has cautioned candidates and parents to beware of fraudsters who promise to upgrade examination results for a fee.
“Candidates are to note that WAEC results are secured and can be authenticated,” the statement read.
The council assured the public of its commitment to upholding the integrity and security of its examinations.
