The meeting between the Eminent Advisory Committee, the electoral commission and political parties is currently underway.

The EC is making another presentation on the new biometric voter management system it intends to procure for the December polls as it seeks to engender consensus on the need for a new register.

Today’s meeting is expected to provide the avenue for stakeholders to dialogue on the controversial subject and reach an agreement.

Starr News’ Daniel Nii Lartey reporting from the EC says the old system upgrade would cost 74,354 dollars whiles compiling a new register would cost 56,000 dollars.

Grant savings for procurement of new equipment for the 2020 elections is set at 104,677.
