Volta Regional Minister, Ford Kamel, is dead

Reports reaching RadioXYZonline.com indicate that the Volta Regional Minister, Henry Ford Kamel, has passed away.

The late minister was on admission at the Trafalga Hospital in the Ho Municipality. Sources close to the regional minister say he had been battling with diabetes.

The sources say he has been flown to Accra for further investigations.

On Christmas Day, rumours were rife on social media platforms that the Member of Parliament elect for the Buem Constituency in the Volta Region had kicked the bucket.

But his daughter, Princess Nelly Kamel, debunked them. She posted on one of such comments that “Pls ignore all rumours okay, he is getting beta now.”

Nonetheless, further checks from RadioXYZonline.com indicate that the Minister did not win the battle. He gave up the ghost on Sunday after a long battle with the sickness.

Mr. Henry Ford Kamel was praised for the manner in which he handled the crisis between the Gbi Traditional Area and the Zongo Community within the area.

This ostensibly means that there will be a by-election for his parliamentary seat.
