The fatal military helicopter crash that has plunged the nation into mourning, claiming the lives of eight individuals, including high-profile government officials and military crew members, has brought new information to light.

Following the incident, a video has surfaced and gone viral, showing a prophecy by Ghanaian prophet Jedidiah Henry Kore, popularly known as Fire Oja, delivering a message to an unidentified man believed to be a member of the Ghana Armed Forces and a colleague of Sergeant Ernest Addo, one of the crew members who died in the crash.

The man featured in the prophecy video is speculated to have escaped death by not being on the helicopter, possibly as a result of the prophecy.

In the said three-minute-long video, sighted by GhanaWeb and posted on Facebook by the Public Relations Officer of the Ghana National Fire Service (GNFS), Alex King Nartey, on Thursday, August 7, 2025, Fire Oja prophesied about an impending air disaster involving a flight in Ghana, predicting that the yet-to-be-identified military man would be a victim and lose his life.

According to him, he saw in the spiritual realm that the man he was prophesying to was dressed in a uniform, appearing to be a member of the military.

“I foresee a disaster in the air, and this man is part of it. I don’t know when he will fly or sit in something that will travel through the airspace, but I foresee a disaster, and you are part of it. In the realm of the spirit, my eyes opened, and I saw you dressed in a uniform. You were first dressed in a white uniform, which was changed to a blue uniform, then later to a red uniform, until it was finally changed to a green uniform, which was not removed, but remained on you,” Fire Oja said.

The man of God went on to say that he foresaw the military man being assigned to a duty involving an air flight, during which the disaster occurred.

“The green uniform was decorated just like that of a military person, and you were assigned to fly in the air for a mission, where I saw the disaster happen. The Lord said this prophecy would occur in a short time, and I will provide you with the details of the date and month when the disaster will happen,” he added.

Fire Oja, however, in the prophecy, directed the man to reject the assignment if such a time comes, even though it could result in disciplinary action against him, telling him to choose being dismissed from the military over losing his life.

“When that day arrives, it would be better for you to be sacked than to lose your life. When the date appears, stand up boldly and courageously to your boss and tell him you will not obey the command and embark on the assignment and let him hand you a dismissal letter,” he added.

Confirming the prophecy through a junior pastor, the military man featured in the video stated, “I am in the Ghana Army as an Air Force personnel member.”

Fire Oja further went on to conclude that; “A disaster will happen this year (2025) and I know what will happen. I will add more years to your age as a prophet. Go and survive. If you are 60 in number in a flight and an accident happens, causing the death of everyone, you will be the only survivor.”

The fatal crash occurred on Wednesday, August 6, 2025, in the Ashanti Region as the officials were on their way to an event at Obuasi.

The names of the perished are: Dr Edward Omane Boamah, Minister of Defence; Dr Ibrahim Murtala Mohammed, Minister of Environment, Science and Technology; Limuna Muniru, Ag Dep National Security Coordinator; Samuel Sarpong, Vice Chairman of the NDC; Samuel Aboagye, NADMO Deputy Director-General.

Also confirmed are the deaths of 3 Airforce officers, namely Squadron Leader Peter Anala (the pilot); Flying Officer Twum Ampadu; and Sergeant Ernest Addo Mensah.
