Victory Presbyterian Church donates to Eye of the Lord Orphanage

The Young People Guilders (YPG) of the Victory Presbyterian Congregation, Kwashiebu has donated assorted relief items to the Eye of the Lord Orphanage and Day Care Centre at Adoagyri Nsawam.

The items included boxes of drinks, 18 packs of sanitary towels, cartons of milk and Milo, stationeries, 11 bags of rice, 23 bags of sachet water, and 10 boxes of bottled water.

Others are a bag of gari, two bags of maize, two bags of detergent, boxes of bathing and washing soap and clothes.

Presenting the items, Ms Anthoinet Ohene-Amoah, President of YPG said with support from the elders of the church, they mobilized the items to improve the lives of the little orphans.

She told the Ghana News Agency that the exercise was undertaken with encouragement from the church which teaches them to care for orphans and widows.

Receiving the items on behalf of the children, Mr Samuel Kwapong Darko, Founder of the Orphanage, a visually impaired expressed his profound gratitude to the YPG for their donation, and that the relief items will help sustained the orphanage since his condition makes it a bit difficult to mobilise enough funds to support the children.

He appealed to the general public to come to their aid in the construction of a new dormitory.
